Join Southern Nuclear in supporting local face mask projects

A number of Southern Nuclear employees have joined other volunteers in their communities to make face masks for health care and other essential workers. To support and expand those volunteer efforts, Southern Nuclear has provided a charitable donation to partnering organizations near each of our operating plants. The nonprofit organizations are assisting with purchasing or procuring materials for volunteers to make face masks and the distribution of completed face masks to organizations and individuals in need.

If you, a family member or friend is interested in volunteering to help make face masks, distribute materials to other volunteers or help deliver completed masks where they are needed in your community, we’d love for you to join us.

Please reach out to the Southern Nuclear employee in your community that is listed below for more details on how you can participate.

As you are making face masks and want to share or document your effort on social media, please use #poweringthrutogether and tag us in your post. We’d love to see how you are supporting your community’s health and safety in your own way.
