Patrick Martino

Site Vice President of Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 & 2

Patrick Martino became Site Vice President (VP) of Vogtle 1&2 in March 2026 after serving as Site VP at Vogtle 3&4 – where he led the site through declaring commercial operation of Units 3 and 4 in 2023 and 2024, respectively, and the site’s first World Association of Nuclear Operators Peer Review.

He joined Southern Nuclear in 2019 as Plant Manager of Vogtle 3&4. In this role, he oversaw the completion of many significant milestones and the transition from construction to operations, while ensuring high levels of performance within the operational readiness organizations at the site. 

Prior to joining SNC, Patrick spent 19 years at Salem Nuclear Power Plant, where he earned a Senior Reactor Operator license and served in several leadership roles, including Operations Director, Maintenance Director and Plant Manager. Patrick earned a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering systems, with a minor in nuclear engineering, from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Following graduation, he worked for Lockheed Martin at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory through the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program and served in various leadership roles, including oversight of testing, training and maintenance. In parallel, he served in the U.S. Merchant Marine and U.S. Navy Reserves for 10 years.
